We are in this together
Below are guidelines from California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association regarding best practices for delivery of patient care in Optometry Offices:
Do not come to our office if you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, body aches. If you have flu like symptoms or came into contact with an individual who has COVID-19, contact your primary care physician via phone as a first step. If you do develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 to get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include, but are not limited to: Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath. Persistent pain or pressure in the chest. New confusion or inability to arouse. Bluish lips or face.
You must call ahead if you feel sick, have a fever above 100.4, or have red eyes (conjunctivitis) or have any concerns. Please limit the number of people who accompany you to the visit.
We are limiting the number of patients in waiting room in order to maintain 6 feet separation between people. If sufficient room is not available, we will ask you to wait in car/outdoors until the doctor or optician is ready. We can text you when it is your turn to come in when ready. We ask that everyone upon entering our office to use the alcohol-based hand sanitizer underneath our George Nelson Eye clock. You must use hand sanitizer or wash your hands for 20 seconds before handling any display frames. Frames you try on should be placed in the box marked “Frames to be wiped with 70% Alcohol”.
Information about the SARs-COV2 virus are evolving as health professionals struggle with this novel corona virus. We hope you will consider wearing a face mask to limit respiratory droplet transmission as apparently 25% of SARs-COV2 carriers can have no symptoms of fever or cough or any symptoms at all. Our Optometrists and Optician will be wearing a face mask when we are closer than approximately 6 feet from our patients.

CLOSED for routine services until May 3 (or longer). We are open for urgent care appointments.
